Random pictures (end of June)

Some beautiful flowers my Dad got me. I have never had flowers for a birth before. Very nice!

My Aunt with the baby. She came and brought me dinner and cleaned. So nice!

My Grandmother with my baby! Aren't they both so cute?!

My mother out back in a dress with no shoes on using a pickax to pull out the weeds! Really crazy! She wouldn't stop, but my backyard is now weed free and almost ready for grass!

Matthew took this picture one day along with about 80 more around the house. This is me and the two smaller kids crashed on the bed. I take sleep when I can get it!

This is Ian watching TV from on top of the couch and behind the curtain! Love the hat!

The boys decided to dress themselves! Matthew picked out his outfit and put it on. He was insistent on the vest. Ian is into hats and headbands right now and we think it is funny! It will be 100 degrees outside and he will be wearing a mohawk snow hat. Here they are posing for us.

She's Here!!!

So my doctor wanted to induce me a week early to make sure I got the antibiotics I needed and since this was my third he knew it would go much faster. It took a little less than 5 hours from start to finish and boy am I glad it is finished!! They put me on pitocin and antibiotics at 5pm, broke my water at 6, and I got an epidural at 8:30 that didn't take... ugh! By 9:30 the baby was ready to come out but the doctor wasn't there yet, he was prepping for a C section and they had to call everyone out to deliver my girl. By the time the doctor came, the nurses were frantically telling me to breathe the urge to push away and they were literally holding my legs closed. Finally, she was born at 9:50 pm the night before Father's Day!
Welcome Calista Aileen Bladh!
(Her name means "most beautiful daughter of God, or of the light" depending of the translation... and I think it is most fitting!)
She was my smallest child at only 7lbs 5 oz and 18 1/2 inches long!

Cutie patootie!

The boys are in love with Calista. They always want to hold her, look at her, or touch her. Most of the time they are smotherng her with love and she loves it!

The night before

So 'twas the night before I go in to the hospital and all through the house.... I am finally getting this baby out! I am so tired, swollen, and miserable that I am looking forward to tomorrow. My due date isn't for another week, but on Thursday I was almost 3cm and I need antibiotics right before the birth so the doctor is having me come in. He says I need the antibiotics to run through my system a few hours to 7 hours before my birth and he doesn't want to risk having me pop the baby out too soon. So tomorrow I go in to the hospital at 3 pm and hope for a fast and painless delivery! I will keep you updated with pics of the new baby when she comes. This is my best Father's Day present I have ever given Eric!

Graduation Day!

Ian cried ( oh I mean screamed) from the moment we woke him up until we got to CSULA for the graduation! What fun!

This is Eric's happiness about Ian screaming for the past half hour before the graduation! What a special day! You gotta love kids!

He did it! This is Eric and his parents after the graduation!

Yeah daddy! The boys were excited to give him a hug!

He is graduating with a masters in Geography! Way to go! He worked so hard (full time and part time jobs and then going to school full time with a sick pregnant wife at home that he took care of) and still graduated with a really high GPA! Way to go Superman!

I must love him! I am really proud of his accomplishments!

Here are some of his friends and teacher from the Honors Geography Club that are graduating too or there to support!

The move

So we moved finally. It had been raining the two days before the move and it started to sprinkle a little in the morning but luckily no rain!!! I ordered the biggest truck and I thought it would be too big but it was the perfect size. We still had to carry some other stuff in other cars. How did we get so much junk into a small two bedroom apartment with no storage? It took all day and I am so thankful for the help we received. Thanks to my sister and brother-in-law, my mother and father in law (Mickey is a work horse!) who helped us pack up the day before, load the truck, and clean the apartment. Thanks to Eric's brother and sister for helping us pack up the day before. Thanks to Aaron, Justin M., and Quinn for helping us move in the morning. And thanks to Justin H., Ron, Brian, and others (sorry I am not sure who else since I wasn't there) to help us unload the truck. Now I just have to unpack... ugh!

The boys were so excited and wanted to help pack up the truck. It was really cute!

Ian is bringing a little carpet into the truck.

Up, up, up the ramp!

Matthew is helping his grandpa carry into the truck a piece of our bed. I have really good boys!

My Surprise Baby Shower

So I went to book club this last month and as I arrived they surprised me with a baby shower! It was most unexpected! I had so much fun though. Thank you to all who helped plan and those who came. You made me feel really special. Thanks! It will be fun having a girl and I got so many cute outfits and shoes to dress her in! I will be having a fashion show once she comes!

Cute decorations! Love the girly clothes!

A pic of me and some of the people at the party. It was so much fun! Thanks to all!

Pam, me, and Deborah! Oh and my ginormous baby belly!

Clory and me!

Our real pirate son!

The boys went to a daddy/ son campout and in the morning Matthew had a mishap with a stick. Eric took him in and he had scratched his eye. So the rest of the next two days he had to don the eyepatch and have expensive ointment put in his eye. He still went to his school fair and got a spider painted on his face.
