Move over Batmobile...

Out with the old...
(2003 Hyundai Elantra)

In with the new!!!!
(2006 Dodge Grand Caravan)

We have been wanting a van for a while now. Now we can transport more people and we have enough room for all of our DJ equipment!!

Melissa loves this car!!! Now her friends can keep her company while the kids drive her crazy. (get it... drive. snort.)

Oh and the kids...right. They like it too. When we went to get the van we told Matthew that we were going to get a new bigger car and he was very excited. When we had to transfer all of our stuff from the Elantra to the Dodge I asked him if he was going to miss the old car and he thought about it for a second and said "Nope!"

The white in Melissa's eyes are signifigant of the deal with the devil we had to make in order to afford this "Mini-Van." I'm pretty sure that if you rearrange the letters in the word mini-van you can come up with some sort of demon's name from the seventh level of hell.

The Wild Kingdom (sort of...)

The L.A. Zoo...small but fun. To celebrate my day off of work ( Thank you Dr. King ) we went on a virtual safari to the zoo. The kids love it, we are members so it doesn't cost anything, and there is always that chance that some wild gorilla will eat one of our kids so it is win win win all around.

Here are some of our friends! These are the Hilmos. We let them hang out with us sometimes. They haven't figured out how dangerous we are yet. From left to right we have Janelle, Justin, and Taylor. Either Matthew or Ian's future wife. I'm telling you its going to be cage match...WWF style baby.

Yea...its us! Ian don't eat that! Matthew look at the camera!! Argh...just take the picture.

I gotta get my ugly fat mug in there somewhere.

Komodo Dragon. While we were there I think I heard a kid scream "Is it dead?" That is how exciting they were. And nope...no fire breathing going on.

That's my boy.

We saw even more friends while we were there. Can you believe it! Roll call from left to right: Conner, Vicki, Noah, Abby, Ian, Melissa, Matthew, Janelle, Justin, and Taylor. Vicki is hiding behind the stroller on purpose. I don't know...ask her yourself.

Dude. Just walk around him. A Ram can be such a butthead sometime. (Phflt Bwaaa Hahaha...)

"Jesus wants me for a sunBEAM!!!!"

Matthew started Sunbeams this year and he is very excited. He loved his first day in class and he says that his teacher is nice. No real seperation anxiety the first day, we sat him with his class and I stayed until there were more kids around. Once he looked comfortable I told him that I was going to leave and be a good boy. All he said was "Are you going to come back?" I said "Of course! I'll come back to get you when primary is over." He is a real cute kid.

Offical New Year's Buzzkill

Basically everyone got sick but me for New Year's. It is kinda crazy because the kids get really high temperatures and Melissa and I have to monitor it all the time to try and keep it down. (even at two in the morning...so fun!!!) It isn't all bad though, they sleep a whole lot which can be nice. However it is usually negated by their grumpy nature while awake. I wish I could tranq them sometimes.

Matthew's temperature got up to 104.4 last night. It was scary, but no matter where we was he lugged around that blue power ranger. He is his new best friend.

Ian is as sick as a dog, but too cute to be put down.

The Royal Garden

The Tournament of Roses parade and right in our backyard! It is a lot diffrent to be a few blocks away from the parade. The float viewing is actually right next to our church and the scouts make a killing every years selling parking spaces there. It was fun to observe Matthew while he was watching the parade this year, George Lucas was the Grand Marshall and there were a couple Star Wars themed floats, along with 200 marching storm troopers, and many of the Star Wars characters. Matthew loves Star Wars, of course, and thought it was great. When he saw Darth Maul however walking next to the float he looked at Melissa and said "Mommy Darth Maul is REAL!!!" It was priceless. We told him it was a man in a costume, but I'm not sure he believes us.

Matthew like this float because it reminded him of Rexy from "A Night at the Museum", except the big T-rex with the gutair has lost his head! Bwa-ha-ha!

The turtles on this float looked so real it was amazing. But defiantly not the only thing that looked amazing in this picture...wink wink.

As Napoleon would say..."It's pretty much the coolest float ever!" It is just missing that Liger.

We Love this stroller! It is a Combi twin duo sport and it fits in our little car. No more talk about getting a minivan to fit our family, we spit in the faces of the mini-van gods. That is until we have a third, and no that is not a hint.

Matthew was happy, Ian was sad, and the eagle was getting no respect.

The Beginning of an Era

The Bladh clan with their very first "real" Christmas tree. Matthew informed us all that, "This is fun!" while we decorated the tree. Ian tried his best to eat anything he could grab.

'Daboys...nuff said.
