Eric had an ESRI conference down in San Diego for the week for work and so we joined him in the hotel. While he was off during the days at the conference, I took the kids and played in downtown San Diego. We had lots of fun and met new friends! Here are the boys sliding down the artwork at the park.

We played on the statues at Embarcadero Park. There were guys flying kites that played with the kids too. We enjoyed watching the boat come by.
Seaport village was literally outside our hotel door so we spent much time there!

The hotel we stayed at had so many things to do. It was like a resort! There was a "backyard playground" on the roof of the lobby. It was a place the boys spent a lot of time in. They loved the jacuzzi too. They even had fire pits to roast marshmallows at at night. So neat!

The conference had a family day with booths of firefighters and tables for crafts. The boys made masks and got all these free candy, pins, and firefighter hats!

While in San Diego I took the kids to the New Children's Museum. It was a lot of fun and we spent the whole day there.
A fountain of bubbles. We were actually making pretty big bubbles. I spent time here a lot since it was a lot of fun trying to construct the biggest bubble.
Matthew and a new friend I made at the hotel. We came here together and spent a few days together at the hotel while our husbands were attending the conference.

She wanted to go in the tunnels and "made" me crawl in there with her.
She didn't like the tunnels very much anymore.
These cars are pretty cool. The boys spent lots of time on them riding around. You move the upper tire with your foot and it makes the bottom tire move.

Calista loved to pull down these yellow tassles that hung from the ceiling. They ask the kids not to pull them down but they are attached with velcro. Of course they are going to pull them down! Just look at her elatement.
There was this VW bug parked in the museum that was layered with paint from the kids. Really cool, but paint was all over the boys despite the aprons.

Pillow fight room. This was the favorite place of all three of my kids. They all left the room screaming as I pulled them away to go home.
Calista did this all on her own in our hotel room. We had to take a picture.
The conference held a Mardi Gras themed party for all its attendees. we were lucky to go and enjoy this mega party. They had dinner and entertainment, carnival games, face painting, caricature drawings, carnival parade with beads being thrown, dancing, and more all for free. It was one heck of a party and the boys had just as much fun as we did! This chick was like a fountain with water spraying out from her head and fingers that would turn off and on based on the music. Really neat.
The tables had these people's head sticking out talking to you. Creepy but fun!
There were these two tree ladies. They were beautiful and the boys loves to follow them as they gracefully moved from one place to another.
